I have this problem a bit as well, so perhaps I'm not the best person to give advice, but I know that trying to land on the object going down more than going forward on landing helps, as well as leaning back slightly/putting your feet in front of you a bit. |

Ok..... The only way to get good at precisions is like climb ups and any other thing in Parkour you have to keep trying, I dont know if you've seen mine But I'd say I can do it well enough, I Still fail epicly somtimes but I keep at iit Anyway If you want some pointers all theise pointers will help in landings I think --- Try to practice your launch technique as much as possible as it helps you in fluidity and more. --- Do the same jump on a smaller scale (Closer) And get further away gradually. --- Try and use your arms!!!! They help heaps in balance And launching and hight distance etc! ---- If possible try Plyometrics It looks and sounds silly but it works on the speed that your muscles react at and it helps in heaps of things in general (If you want help with it Click here >> Clicky ) --- Finally if its a smaller gap try to jump a little higher then further. Hope it helps I'm not the best but its what helped me Peace

those things are all well and good, and are correct but the question i believe joe to be asking is how to land the precisions and "stick" as it is commonly called. if you are stepping forward it is because you are not absorbing your forward momentum completely when landing. there are a few key ideas first, the area of the foot is key. you want to be landing on the front half of your foot, the ball of your foot, this will give you the most control because of leverage and how your muscles in your legs and ankle work. another key idea is where your centre of gravity comes to rest. the key idea for this is to be in perfect balance you need to have your centre of gravity directly positioned over you feet when you have no momentum left. one great method to achieve this state of balance is to "roll on" the idea to this method is to aim for the edge of the wall with the balls of your foot, this is good because it absorbs a great deal of forward momentum, this technique is especially useful on up precisions and running ones. although it is not particularly useful on down precisions. Another key idea is less to do with how you land but how you take off. you need enough power so that when you are above you feet you have no momentum left because your problem is you have forward momentum left when you land. so you need to learn how much power you need to put in to land in the place you want. these above are just ideas for you to consider each precision will be different and the only way to really master it is practice. another potetial problem you have might be strength, but if you want proper help and advice I'd recommend you coming to a Saturday session and we will all be willing to help. peace |

Not always man, the use of a more experianced traceur is somtimes needed more then someone with a spisific skill, I'm ok at all things but My best thing is me precision's Roughly The only reason I call myself that is because They're me fave move, and I'm ok at em Tim's easily more experenced I've been training less then A year But still hope your Precisions have improved Joe ![]() Safe Nick ![]() Peace all
